At the University of Texas at Austin Radionavigation Laboratory, we develop theory and technologies for secure, robust, and precise perception. We emphasize location, collision avoidance, and timing perception, as these are of special importance to the rise of autonomous vehicles and the smart grid.  We pursue low-cost yet precise positioning and orientation for consumer (mass-market) mobile applications, build powerful software-defined radios, and develop new instruments and techniques for remote sensing.  You can view all research areas here.
